Arvid is a visiting fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a doctoral student from Switzerland. He received his degree in educational sciences from the University of Flensburg (Germany). He then worked for two years at the Paris Lodron University Salzburg (Austria). Since 2016 he has been working as a research associate at the University of Teacher Education St.Gallen in Switzerland.

Currently, Arvid is working on his dissertation, which deals with the effect of problematic video game usage on students' cognitive and physical lesson avoidance. His academic interests include the use of interactive media in adolescence and its impact on youth development (e.g. cyberbullying), and educational measurement.
